The positive aspects of family will be honored Wednesday at the Family Service Association's State of the Family Summit at the Moreno Valley Conference Center.

Alan Osmond, eldest of the Osmond Brothers, will be the guest speaker at the event.

Osmond, who was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis 22 years ago, stepped off the stage as a performer to begin a new career in motivational speaking, writing and creating family-oriented media.

At the summit he will talk about the One Heart Foundation, a nonprofit organization that brings charities together for worthwhile causes. The foundation is the brainchild of Osmond and his wife, Suzanne.
