Marie Osmond Makes Emotional Return to Performing

With tears in her eyes and her voice shaking at times, Marie Osmond donned her bravest face Tuesday night as she took to the stage for the first time since the death of her son for a show that she dedicated to him.

"The way Osmonds survive is we keep singing," she told the audience at the Flamingo Las Vegas, performing one day after the funeral. "That's what we want to do tonight. I know my son would want that and this show is for him."

I lost my son at 24. I feel her pain. It is never easy and time may help to heal, but there will always be "triggers" that will tug at your heart strings.

In the circle of life, it's not suppose to happen this way. The parents are suppose to go first.

Our Father has a Plan and I can see His Hand in my son's life and then his passing. I often say, that by taking him Home when he did, was the answer to a mother's prayer. I prayed so often for Him to watch over him, keep him safe, get him out of the trouble he was getting into. Perhaps this was the only way he could do it. That is my belief.

Families are forever. It is from the influence of your family that I witnessed this truth.

28 years ago my family was baptized into the church in Nauvoo. You were the only people I could link to the term "Mormons". I wanted what you had.

Thank you for being you.

I will continue to pray for Marie, her children and the entire Osmond family. Marie was back on stage on Tuesday , I would think that would be very hard for her, ....but I hope that will help her. I admired her and all the Osmond family for their high morals, values and their strong sense of family
With all my love

Although many people will be critical of Marie going back to work. And I is a job... they need to realise that she has other children who she needs to support. If Marie were to sit around the house, she could get depressed and would then be of no use her younger children. By returning to work she is in fact setting an example. Trust in the Lord and He will direct thee...
