The Secret's Out!
If you watched American Idol tonight, then you know there will be Osmonds at the Salt Lake City auditions on Wednesday night. We hope you'll watch the show.
Donny to Dance with the Stars
Donny Osmond is set to follow in his sister Marie's waltzing steps - as a contestant in the upcoming season of Dancing with the Stars.
The Puppy Love singer let the news slip during an appearance on a recent taping of The Bonnie Hunt Show.
Osmond told actress/presenter Hunt, "I am seriously considering doing it, let’s put it that way,” adding, "I guess I just let the cat out of the bag.”
Sister Marie, who joined her brother on the chat show, was a hit during the fifth season of the hit show, and big brother Donny is determined to do better than his sister - and win the dancing crown.
He added, "I can’t let my sister upstage me. Besides, who do you think taught her how to dance?”

Morning Call Exclusive: Donny Osmond on DWTS? Another time
January 16, 2009 · 6:30 AM
By Robin Leach
Rumors have been flying about Flamingo headliner Donny Osmond following in sister Marie’s footsteps to compete in the next season of ABC’s ratings powerhouse Dancing With the Stars. I broke the exclusive story that he was even taking dancing lessons to prepare for the rigors of the tough, physical show.
Ever since he told me he was practicing in the event he was invited to be a contestant, the stories have been flying fast and furious. Donny has titillated our local Las Vegas radio personalities with the possible TV run, but now I can exclusively reveal that it isn’t going to happen next month when the Season 8 contestants are announced.
“There just wasn’t sufficient advance lead time to change the time of their Flamingo show and the schedules of everybody involved with it,” I was reliably told.

However, Donny will be available in September for Season 9! Everything will be juggled and shifted this summer to also accommodate Marie’s new afternoon TV talk show. Much of Donny’s rehearsals and background video footage would center on his Vegas life. He would be able to commute between Los Angeles -- for the live 6 p.m. ET broadcast -- and Las Vegas in time for any shows scheduled on Mondays and Tuesdays each week.
“It also gives him a little longer to build up his strength. The Dancing show requires a lot of stamina, and with their nightly show at the Flamingo, it will be a Herculean effort of super fitness to avoid injuries as some of the stars experienced last season,” my reliable confidante told me.
Donny is very enthusiastic about taking up the challenge, and, as we first reported exclusively, he is continuing with dance lessons to get him ready for next fall’s Season 9 of Dancing With the Stars!

Alan's New Year's Resolutions
Our living Prophet today has told us to Raise Our Voice of Warning! Over 50+ years I have made friends around this world. As an entertainer, I have enjoyed your laughs, applause and friendship. But it is time to remember you and with a warning voice invite you to choose to enter into the gate of baptism at the hands of those with authority from God. The time is right. You know me and my family! I would hate to have you say, "Why didn't you tell me!" It is with Love, Humility, and Testimony that I ask you to listen to the full time missionaries and become a member of Jesus's Church in these latter days. The signs of His 2nd coming are all around us. Why do I open up and share this? Because I am NOT ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ! (Romans 1:16) It is Time to Get Noi-Z for GOOD! Jesus is The Way!

Starkey Hearing Foundation's Justin Osmond to speak at Palm Beach Series opener
By ROBI JURNEY
Special to the Daily News
Sunday, January 04, 2009
Justin Osmond, the celebrity spokesman for Starkey Hearing Foundation, will attend the first of four events scheduled for the 2009 Palm Beach Series. As a hearing-impaired person, Osmond has a passion for the work the foundation does for those with hearing disabilities.
Osmond, the nephew of entertainers Donny and Marie Osmond, spends much of his time advocating for the hearing-impaired and programs that make their lives better.
The 2009 Palm Beach Series benefiting the Starkey Hearing Foundation will host four monthly dining experiences while celebrating its 22nd anniversary in the Palm Beaches.
Creative Dining — Beyond Expectations will feature four imaginative chefs with offerings that range from savory Mediterranean dishes to a bayou-inspired cocktail gathering paired with delicious wines.
Felice Kronfeld, chairwoman of the annual event, said she is excited about this year's dining selections and Osmond's involvement.
"Justin brings such a wonderful perspective to the work that is done at Starkey," she said. "He knows firsthand the struggles of the hearing-impaired, especially the children, and wants their world to be a better place."
Osmond will attend a gathering set for the Palm Beach home of Vi Werner and speak to the group about the opportunities provided by the Starkey Hearing Foundation.
The soiree will conclude with an opportunity for guests to cross the street to the home of Shirley Fiteman and enjoy her contemporary art collection.
"We are very excited to add this element to the day," Kronfeld said. "It brings together enjoyment to all of the senses."
The kickoff dining experience, A Magnificent Treat, is set for 11:30 a.m. Jan. 14, with Carol Katenberg of Café Coconut Catering demonstrating a selection of Mediterranean dishes at Werner's home. Poached salmon with corn pudding timbale and lemon curd tarts round out the menu.
For more information or tickets, call Felice Kronfeld at 586-3061.
